Welcome to this course “How to be an even better Online Teacher“.

In this course we will be going through step by step how to ensure your online classes are even better and we are here to help you throughout.

First of all join the Course Community in our LinkedIn group by clicking on the blue button to the right of your screen. This is so important as in it we will be sharing our thoughts and ideas, our wins and supporting you and others.

Course Structure

Here you will find the instructions to help you navigate your way through the course.

1. To begin, you will need to use the Course Content table, this is located at the bottom of this page and shows each lesson. At the right-hand side of each lesson you will see the Course Name and Topic, and you can click on the relevant lesson.

2. Each week, the next Lesson will be opened following the Tuesday Teaching Webinar.

3. Every Tuesday Danielle will be holding the Tuesday Teaching Webinar and the link can be found at the top of this page. The webinars will be held every Tuesday from 7-8pm GMT. These will be recorded for you to view later, should you not be able to make it. Also send your questions in to us and we will try to make sure they are answered during the webinar.

4. When you click into a lesson, you will find a workbook to download and the corresponding video(s) to work through. Within the workbook there are tasks for you to complete to enhance your learning.

5. Once you have finished a lesson, you can click on the buttons at the bottom of the screen to either move onto the next lesson, move to the previous lesson or to come back to the Course Content page.

6. Once you have finished the course you will be entitled to use the TEA Membership Site free for one month! The TEA site encompasses many resources, videos, and guides to support your teaching practice.

Don’t forget to download your Workbook to use in each Lesson to help you create your online course.

Introduction Video

Each Lesson has 1 or 2 Videos that you will need to work through. Each Video is maximum of 30 minutes long. Work through the videos one after the other. If you have any comments, queries or questions pop then in our Community Group, the link is at the top of this page.

In this Video, Danielle will Welcome you to the course, go through the Ground Rules, explain how the Course is Set Up and give you a guided tour of the site.

Finally, click on the button here to complete the “Getting to know You” questionnaire. When you first start your click class, you need to start to find out all you can about your students so that you can teach to their preferences and needs. You can use this form to give you ideas for your own classes. Please complete this form now!
